Mission Speaker

Julia Allmond

In 2018, at just 24 years old, Julia Allmond was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a life-altering experience that reshaped her perspective and purpose. Now approaching seven years in remission, Julia continues to be a beacon of resilience, hope, and advocacy within the young adult cancer community.

Recognizing the need for connection and community among survivors like herself, Julia founded the “Philly Cancer Jawns”, a support group dedicated to empowering young adult survivors through authentic conversations, shared experiences, and unshakable solidarity. Her work has created a meaningful and healing space for those navigating life after a cancer diagnosis—one that didn’t exist when she needed it most.

Outside of advocacy, Julia is a devoted mom, a corporate recruiting leader, and a firm believer in turning pain into purpose. Her story is a powerful reminder of the strength we can find in ourselves and in each other when we choose hope over fear.
